Project Description
PIER 6 – BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK
Brooklyn’s Pier 6 is a tribute to urban renewal… with sprawling lawns, a flowering meadow and a vast array of plantings that create a beautiful and natural environment for Brooklynites and visitors alike.
In addition to open spaces and the green oasis, this park provides extensive areas designed just for fun and recreation; volleyball courts, jungle gyms, the children’s favorite “Water Lab”, meandering paths, spectacular views of NY Harbor…and even a dog run for the four-legged members of your family. There is a ferry dock that provides service to Governors Island at the southern edge of the park.
